Wow! It's been a long time since I've been on the site. No real reason for the hiatus. I've been spending a lot more time on my cartoon. Recently my cast got together to record a table read of the script for the pilot episode. It was so much fun and I was happy that the material still sounded as fresh and funny as it did in my head.

The image "Nazi Zombies!!!" is a still from what will one day be the show open, accompanied by theme song and opening credits.  These are some of the bad guys that will appear in the first episode.

I'll be posting lots of images from the show in the not too distant future.

Here's a fun one! I found the inked drawing in the color-me club, submitted by original artist matiassoto (matiassoto.deviantart.com/) It had really strong lines and of course lots of great marvel characters. It screamed for color and I was happy to oblige. I was able to use some new techniques I've learned from the master photoshop clubs I've found here and I layered portions of the image with textures found at free stock image sites.  Working on this was lots of fun but the next thing I post will be 100% mine from the ground up.

This is my first attempt at coloring another Deviant artist's work. I found the original art in the color-me club. It was posted by Lorrain, lorrain.deviantart.com/ ...still shaking on inserting the cool little avatar thingy instead of the whole link but just trying to give credit where it's due. It's a very intricate piece and took many hours over the course of several days to complete. Some of my favorite parts happened by accident. I love when that happens!

Hope you enjoy... comments and feedback are always welcome. Lorrain has lots of other line images posted too so be sure to check them out or maybe even try your hand and giving them some color too.

and if anyone feels like giving me a tutorial on how to better post avatars and links, it'd be appreciated.

I'm pretty happy with the way this came out: My First Killer Robot. It started as a sketch, which I'll have to upload soon, and then I grafted texture I found on a to the scanned image in Photoshop. I'm going to start doing more images like this, eventually working completely from scratch, painting and texturing images completely in photoshop. If anyone has any insight into how to do this more realistically and more efficiently, I'm all ears.

This is my first entry. I just wanted to put a little note in here for the community. It won't be long because I hope to write again soon.

I am thrilled to be on this site. I've been meaning to get to it for a long time now.  Thanks to all of you who have already left comments and feedback. I really appreciate it. I'm excited to start getting involved in the deviant art community and look forward to seeing all of your works as well.

Hopefully this website will be a nice way to meet like-minded and goal oriented artists and a reputable way to introduce prospective clients to my art work.
